Welcome to the official website of the Freedom and Justice Foundation (F&J), an independent educational non-profit promoting a Centrist Public Policy environment through the civic and interfaith engagement of Texas Muslims since 2002 with a vision for Texas 2040.

  • Organized and coordinated multiple state-level ceremonial and public policy accomplishments for Texas Muslims.
  • Received the support of numerous Mosques/Islamic Centers from Tyler to El Paso and from North Texas down to Austin and Houston.
  • Developed multiple faith-based public policy partnerships between Texas Muslim communities and Texas Baptist, Catholic and Mainline Protestant groups.
  • Achieved unparelleled success improving Homeland Security and Domestic Intelligence policies at the State and Federal levels.
  • Co-founded the North Texas Islamic Council (NTIC), a regional coordinating body for dozens of DFW Mosques, Islamic Schools and Muslim Community nonprofits.
  • First Muslim organizational member of Texas Impact, the three decade old premier Texas State Policy interfaith group.

tic-final-logo1The Texas Islamic Council (T.I.C.) Program was launched by the Freedom and Justice Foundation (F&J) in 2005 to:

  • allow Mosques in total serving over 100,000 Texans directly from all major Texas cities to support F&J's work enhancing interfaith community relations with more established Texas Baptist, Catholic and Mainline Protestant community groups;
  • strengthen F&J's efforts to help major metropolitan Texas Muslim communities establish 'Shura Councils' to coordinate Muslim community development efforts leveraging lessons learned from Christian and Jewish communities;
  • enable F&J to give multiple scholarships to Texas Muslim students studying in career fields with an impact on public policy and public opinion.
