ResourcesThe Freedom and Justice Foundation (F&J) prides itself on being a resource for many citizens working to improve their local communities all around the Lone Star State. F&J's motto since the date of founding has been "Connecting the Dots!" F&J doesn't attempt to centrally manage activism, but to enhance its coordination so a greater impact may be achieved. The referenced pages below (links at top) will include over the coming weeks various resources to aid any citizen wishing to both educate herself as well as advance the central mission in each Muslim's life to promote good and oppose bad. If you would like to contribute content to these resource pages please feel free to email us your suggestion at info@freeandjust.org.
Various Resources being made available by F&J:
Texas Muslims: On this page we intend to combine all the reference materials in our possession about the Texas Muslim community. We intend to lay out a very clear picture of demographics, statistics, organizations, attitudes, and contacts for anyone wishing to understand Texas Muslims.
Civic Engagement: F&J's core mission calls upon it to civically engage the Texas Muslim community. Many Muslim citizens are already fairly well integrated civically, so we hope to highlight these individuals as civic resources for others to model after as well as provide as many possible opportunities before the prospective citizen activist by making as many civic groups available as possible.
Elections Central: F&J believes that voting is not just a privilege but a civic and religious responsibility for each Muslim citizen. Many have sacrificed so that we many choose whether to vote or not, so we honor their sacrifice every time we stand in a voting booth fulfilling our civic responsibility. With this Elections Central resource page, we plan on making all the pertinent information available for any Texas citizen wishing to exercise their vote.
Government Central: Having been founded in 2002 to tackle the Government Relations function for the Texas Muslim community, F&J fully understands the complexities for a largely young community to engage their local, county, state and federal government officials. With this resource page, we aim to demystify that challenge and aid that Lone Star Resident navigate successfully any challenge she many have with her government.
Media Central: With all the travel F&J has and continues to conduct across the 254 counties of Texas, we have mapped out numerous media outlets. We are making that information available free to any citizen activist and encourage citizen activists to engage these media markets, many of which are severely underserved with the Muslim perspective. © 2002-2007 The Freedom and Justice Foundation ~ 1925 East Beltline Rd.
